Hello Jerry,
I just read your bio and I think we have a lot in common regarding some disenchantment with the current state of the GOP and also with seeing the value in someone else's opinion… even if there is disagreement.

Jerry,
Thought I'll leave a comment here, since your Climate thread has been hijacked.
I see that you've been in touch with McSpocky about how to moderate your discussion groups. It might be time to use some of the tools at your disposal. I don't want to name names, but you have some pretty bad characters there, and arguing with them just seems to make them happy.
BTW - I enjoyed your seed. Thanks - and keep it up.
I am not an angry man. Competitive and intense at times, but not angry. I actually think that racially charged topics are difficult to analyze because of perspective. When confronted by two or more views I consider poorly informed I do on occasion become condescending - at least from a perspective I might have mistaken for arrogance. I'm an avid student of history and struggled through three years at MIT in the 60's.
I may be quick on the trigger but I always pursue enlightened exchanges here. Just ask McSpocky.
I appreciate what you were trying to do in that thread, even if I had difficulty with the nuts and bolts. . .
If you have anything you'd like to add, please feel free to contact me.
